Kyle Busch, Driver Of The No. 5 Kellogg’s/Carquest Impala SS: (On Being The Bridesmaid Twice At Richmond. ) “We’ve had a few near misses at Richmond but never finished out of the top five in five Cup starts there. Last year was a heartbreaker because Kevin Harvick passed us with just two laps to go. In the spring we raced Jimmie (Johnson) and Jeff (Gordon) at the end and finished second. We’ve been impressive, but have always come up a little short. Being good at the end of the race is what counts. We haven’t been able to be the car to beat when it counts. “
BUSCH: (ON THE SECRET TO HIS SUCCESS AT RICHMOND. ) “I don’t know why I have had so much luck there. It’s a good thing to have five top-five finishes out of five starts. “
ALAN GUSTAFSON, CREW CHIEF OF THE NO. 5 KELLOGG’S/CARQUEST IMPALA SS: (ON CLINCHING ANOTHER CHASE BERTH. ) “It says a lot about this team. If we can deal with the distractions we’ve had and still hit on all cylinders, it shows the incredible depth we have here at Hendrick Motorsports. I’m proud of the way Kyle has driven and how well the team has executed on pit road. We learned a lot about the Chase last year. We didn’t perform up to our expectations (in the Chase last season), but it will help us be better prepared to handle the pressure this time around. “
